Steel Processing Facilities

Mario & Sons is able to complete custom steel processing with our Beam Line, Anglemaster and plasma machines. Details of the capabilities of our machines can be found below.

Beamline

Our Beam Line is a machine specialised in the cutting and drilling of a variety of small to large sized steel. Its capabilities include:

• Type of steel - Angles, UC, UB, WC, WB, PFC, SHS, RHS and CHS

• Anything up to 1100mm wide and 500mm high

• Miter cuts up to 58 degrees

• Any hole sizes up to 40mm diameter

• Scribing of name and other details as required

Steel processing beyond the above sizes and capabilities of our machine are able to be done by our boilermakers.

Anglemaster

Our Anglemaster is a specialised processing machine designed specifically to cut steel angles to maximum efficiency, saving you time and money on your order. The capabilities of our Anglemaster include:

• Any size steel angle up to 150 x 150 x 16 - Larger angles can be done on our Beamline

• Scribing

• Round hole punching up to 38mm

• Slotted holes in a variety of sizes

Miter cuts and other requirements are performed manually by our boilermakers after the cutting process is complete.

Plasma Cutting

Our plasma machines are able to complete the cutting of plates in various sizes. They are able to do the following:

• Cutting material up to 40mm thickness

• Maximum sheet size is 2.4m x 12m. Anything not fitting within these dimensions is able to be cut in separate pieces and welded together if this is deemed to be acceptable.

• Any size and type of holes

• Mild steel grades including 250, 350 and 450 - others are be available upon request

Any markings are typically written by hand if required. We are able to purchase the raw product ourselves or have it supplied from you upon receiving the order.

Hand stamping vs Beamline scribing - Our Beamline’s scribing capabilities allow marks to be read much more easily than regular stamping. Scribing can be done anywhere on the flange of the beam in any font size as required.

Manual stamping can also be done if preferred.
